The Close is tucked away in Morpeth NSW, a historic river port crowded with character on a tree-lined stretch of the Hunter River. The Close is named after the founder of Morpeth, Lieutenant Edward Charles Close, who selected a property of 1,000 hectares in the town and developed it as a river port between 1831 and 1841. Queens Wharf, as it was named, was to become a heavily frequented river port until around 1890.
The Close was built in the 1850's and has been beautifully renovated with a modern twist to provide the perfect getaway.
All accommodation is for residential purposes only, no private functions or parties are not allowed at this property – No Exceptions.
Please be mindful of our neighbours and keep noise down within the standard residential rules. Any noise complaints will forfeit the security deposit – No exceptions.
Cleaning penalty fees will be applied if the property is left in an untidy or unclean condition or if excessive rubbish and bottles have not been removed. Please leave the property as you find it – dishes in the dishwasher – rubbish in the bins provided – no food to be left on the premises.
All breakages must be paid for.
The property is a Non Smoking Property – Smoking strictly prohibited – a cleaning fee of $500 will occur if this rule is broken and your security deposit forfeited – No Exceptions.
A $1000 Security Deposit is required before check in – taken as a pre-authorised hold on the nominated credit card and released after check out and cleaning inspection is done.
